Simon Grome

Simon Grome grew up in the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio, where he got his start playing the bass in middle school jazz band. His professional career began in earnest when he moved to Columbus for college and accepted gigs in a wide variety of genres from jazz to pop to country, specializing in both the bass and banjo.

In 2024, Simon moved to Dallas, Texas, where he has quickly become immersed in the local music scene. On any given night, you might find him stoking a crowd with the precision of a well-placed bass lick, or picking over bluegrass tunes late into the evening.

After nearly a decade of professional performance, Simon has played all over the United States, honing his musicianship and gathering stories like loose change. His experiences have in turn shaped his songwriting, which interweaves personal memories with universal truths of love, loss, and laughter.

His upcoming release, Two Bedroom Apartment, combines the blistering speed and dynamic solos of bluegrass with the good-timing attitude of modern country that lets the listener trivialize their problems and revel in commiseration, if only for the night. It comes out on August 28th, as part of an EP Simon is releasing over the course of Fall 2026.
